How Homespice Decor Is Helping Small Businesses Succeed in 2019

It takes a lot of risk and courage to open a small business in 2019, especially if you're thinking about opening up a brick and mortar shop. With rising rent cost and the threat of online shopping, sometimes it just feels like a risk not worth taking. Online retail giants like Amazon.com are here to stay. Their fast shipping and mass products availability can quickly derail anyone's dream of opening a physical storefront.

Here at Homespice Decor, we continue to grow thanks to our wholesale partnerships with small business owners. Our partners understand the importance of physical customers and product interactions. We work with hundreds of small brick and mortar shops to grow their home decor business every day. As a small business ourselves, we understand the struggles that may occur in the retail industry. We pride ourselves in connecting with our partners at a personal level. When calling in to us, you'll never be greeted with an automated system or an overseas customer support staff. Our staff and office is right here in Atlanta, GA suburbs. On top of that, our products are also housed at the same location. Once your order is placed, it is picked, packed and shipped as soon as possible. Our washable indoor/outdoor rugs and hooked rugs are just a few of our products that are in stock and ready to ship.

At Homespice, we do more than just sell products to our partners. We offer them proven strategies that can help them succeed. Here are a few tips that have helped our partners become successful:

-Social Media. We recommend each business owner to create a Facebook business page, and post a picture or video at least once per day of their shop and/or products/staff. Facebook pages are free and a great way to get customers inside your stores.

-Floor displays. Buy a large braided rug and display it in your high traffic area. Then purchase our 10"x10" samples so the customer can see and feel the fabrics. Our Ultra Durable Rugs are stain resistant so you can perform a demo and spill red wine on the rug and watch it disappear.

-Take advantage of our dropship service. If a customer wishes to buy a particular size or rug and it is not available in your store, you can place the order with us and we'll ship it directly to their house. This is extremely popular with our smaller business owners that do not have enough room to store our bigger rugs.

There is always a risk when starting your own business. Proper planning and great partnership can help take some of the risk away. Team Homespice and their partners is proof that in 2019, you can still find success in opening up a small business.
