How an outdoor Rug can improve the look of your Patio
PrintDid you know some area rugs are safe to use outdoors? It is possible to enjoy the outdoors while still using comfy furniture. Area rugs are prominent decor pieces that can tie a room together, alter its style, and define space in the room. Area rugs are common in rooms like bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms and now, even outdoor areas. If you consider placing an area rug outdoors, your patio, deck, or poolside will become more attractive in multiple ways.
With an outdoor rug like Homespice’s Ultra Durable Braided Rug or Ultra Wool Rug, your patio is no longer rough to walk on bare feet. "Soft" is usually not a term you would use to describe your patio or deck. It is possible for stone or wood to look beautiful, but under your feet, they can be very hard and uncomfortable. With an indoor outdoor area rug, your patio will look and feel more comfortable. With a braided rug, feel free to take your shoes off and relax on a chair or sofa outdoors with no worries about splinters or roughness from your hardwood deck. An area rug's softness can also bring visual texture to your outdoor area. The right looking area rug can remind you of how soft it is to walk on sand or grass. A patio with an outdoor rug on it will look great in front of a lush backyard environment.
Just like with indoor rugs, you can use outdoor rugs to emphasize a different area of your patio. Add one braided rug underfoot to a create a place of conversation and add another rug in an area on the patio for children to play on. In order to define these different areas, be sure the space you want to make is highlighted by your furniture. Seating for conversations, for instance, should be placed on the edges of your area rug. At least the front legs of chairs and sofa should be on the area rug, if not all legs. Do not buy a rug that is just big enough for a table. A small rug will make the area look small in comparison.
If your patio is rather large, don't be discouraged to use various indoor outdoor area rugs that are different in color. Experiment with different shapes and sizes to see which look the best on your patio. Most area rugs have prints or patterns. Choose an area rug according to the outdoor furniture that you own.
You can buy two area rugs that match, and use one of them for an indoor area, like a sunroom that leads to the outdoor patio. What this can do is create harmony and continuity between the two adjacent areas of your home. If you have matching furniture sets for both areas as well, you can create a visual link, so it is like you have an indoor and outdoor version of the same room. If buying two rugs that match isn't possible or interesting to you, you can use two rugs with similar patterns, like floral patterns or stripes.
Because of outdoor furniture, you are able to take the comfort of your living room with you outside. An area rug should be an integral part of your outdoor design. In summary, they are used to define different spaces of your patio, add softness to it, and create a sense of continuity between your patio and a similar room indoors. With an outdoor braided rug, you can make your outdoor space as comfortable as your favorite indoor space!
